Aqua Sana Sherwood Forest wins Best Destination Spa at Good Spa Awards

Aqua Sana Sherwood Forest has been crowned Best Destination Spa at the tenth annual Good Spa Awards.

The winners were announced during a gala dinner at the Spa Life conference on Monday 11th November, which was held at the Hilton Doubletree, Coventry. Aqua Sana Woburn Forest and Aqua Sana Whinfell Forest were also celebrated at the awards, as finalists in the Best Day Spa and Best Spa for Customer Service categories. The awards are voted for by members of the public.

Group Spa Manager Kay Pennington and Aqua Sana Sherwood Forest Manager Karen Whittaker collected the award on the evening. Karen said: “We are delighted that Aqua Sana Sherwood Forest has won the award for Best Destination Spa. It is a great testament to both the spa itself and our great team, who work tirelessly to deliver an excellent experience to each of our spa guests every day.”

Aqua Sana Sherwood Forest is located within acres of natural woodland and is a truly spectacular destination. It comprises more than 25 spa experiences which take inspiration from its Forest Spa concept, with the Treetop Sauna, Forest Terrace and Hot Springs Garden boasting especially breath-taking views of the forest. Spa guests can visit for the day, an evening or a three-hour session if on a Center Parcs break.

Katie Murphy, Business Manager at the Good Spa Guide, said: “The Good Spa Guide would like to congratulate Aqua Sana Sherwood Forest for winning the Best Destination Spa category in the Good Spa Awards. The high number of public votes reflect not only the exceptionally high quality and high standard of facilities and customer service at Aqua Sana Sherwood Forest but also the public’s fondness for and appreciation of the spa, its facilities and its people.”

Notes to Editors

  • Center Parcs UK has been a separate company to Center Parcs Europe since 2001; the two organisations only share a brand name and the core concept of family short breaks in the forest.
  • Center Parcs has six villages across the UK and Ireland; Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire, Elveden Forest in Suffolk, Longleat Forest in Wiltshire, Whinfell Forest in Cumbria, Woburn Forest in Bedfordshire and Longford Forest in County Longford, Ireland. Each village is nestled within 350-400 acres of woodland with a variety of activities to choose from, restaurants and cafes. There is also a Subtropical Swimming Paradise and award-winning spa called Aqua Sana.
  • Center Parcs offers weekend, (Friday to Monday) or midweek (Monday to Friday) breaks and welcomes more than 2.1 million guests each year, with 96% of guests expressing an intention to return. Visit England recently awarded the company five stars for all UK sites (scoring each village between 90% and 98%), making comments about the friendly nature and efficiency of the staff and the quality and cleanliness of the facilities.
  • As the leader in the UK short break holiday market, Center Parcs achieves average annual occupancy in excess of 97%.
