COSTA OPENS 2000TH STORE
Costa Coffee, the world’s second largest coffee chain, opened its 2000th store this week in the centre of Leeds.
Costa is the UKs Favourite Coffee Shop brand and operates across 25 international markets. In the first 6 months of the year Costa opened 145 stores around the world, including stores in China and India and is planning to open around 300 stores worldwide this year. Costa has an ambitious growth programme targeting 3,500 stores globally by 2015/16.
Its 2000th store, is the Leeds Briggate store which is also the first store outside of London to have the new look ‘Metropolitan’ design. The opening of the store has created 20 new jobs in Leeds.
