Discover Airlines touches down in Minneapolis for the first time

• Four weekly flights between Frankfurt and Minneapolis during the summer months

Discover Airlines flight 4Y52 took off from Frankfurt to Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) for the first time at 11:30 AM on Friday, May 2, 2025. The Airbus A330 landed on time after a flight of around nine hours. Guests and crew were warmly welcomed on site.

From May 2 to October 24, Discover Airlines will offer four weekly flights from Frankfurt to Minneapolis on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The outbound flight is scheduled as a day flight, the return flight takes place overnight. With the seasonal flights during the summer months and thus during the peak travel season, Discover Airlines is replacing Lufthansa's previous year-round service from Frankfurt.

Minneapolis is located in the Midwest of the USA and is the largest city in the US state of Minnesota, which borders Canada. The city is rich in culture, art and architecture and is also an ideal starting point for excursions and round trips through the lush, unspoiled nature of Minnesota. Also known as the “Land of 10,000 Lakes” and home to the legendary Mississippi River, outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy hiking, boating and camping here.

The new destination complements the existing eight North American destinations in Discover Airlines' flight schedule: Philadelphia, Orlando, Tampa Bay, Fort Myers, Las Vegas, Calgary, Halifax and Anchorage.
