The independent Cricket Discipline Commission (“CDC”) today confirmed that Ben Stokes and Alex Hales have each been charged by the ECB with bringing the game into disrepute.
Each player has been charged with two counts of breaching ECB Directive 3.3 and will be required to attend a CDC Disciplinary Panel Hearing in accordance with the CDC Regulations.

After yesterday's victory at the Kia Oval completed a busy international summer with a 4-1 win over India in the Specsavers Test Series, the England management have asked for the majority of the squad to take a break before winter trips to Sri Lanka and West Indies - with the squad for the One-Day series in Sri Lanka to be named later this week, ahead of their departure on September 30.
