    Following a family bereavement, England Head Coach Chris Silverwood will return to England after day two of the second Test match at Seddon Park on Saturday November 30.
    Assistant coaches Graham Thorpe and Paul Collingwood will assume responsibility of team affairs alongside Test captain Joe Root for the remainder of the New Zealand tour.
    England return home on Wednesday December 4.

  • Somerset penalised under ECB Discipline Code

    A Cricket Discipline Committee Disciplinary Panel has found Somerset CCC guilty of a breach of the ECB Pitch Regulations following a Disciplinary Panel Hearing at Lord’s today.
    The hearing was convened after the pitch used in Somerset’s Specsavers County Championship match against Essex at Taunton on 23rd-26th September 2019 was rated as ‘poor’ due to excessive unevenness of bounce.
