England cricket stars have promised ‘amazing cricket entertainment’ to families that attend The Hundred cricket competition this summer.

The unmissable summer event goes on priority sale this morning, with family-friendly pricing aimed at bringing in a new generation of cricket fans. The initial priority window with early-bird prices is open for just 17 days, so fans need to act fast to secure the best seats in the house to watch the world’s biggest cricket stars go head-to-head.

Hailed as a perfect family day out in the summer holidays, tickets will start at just £26 for a family of four. The Hundred will bring fast sporting action and entertainment together in a way that has never seen before, as eight new teams battle it out in this brand-new cricket competition.

The first 100 families that buy tickets per team during this priority window will receive free t-shirts for under 16s (maximum of four t-shirts per family).

England cricket star Ben Stokes, who will play for Northern Superchargers, said: “The Hundred is shaping up to be the family event of the summer and I can’t wait to get going with the Superchargers in front of the crowds and my own family.

“Some of the best players in the world will be taking part. All eight teams will be aiming to become the first champions of The Hundred, which means we’re in for amazing cricket entertainment, and we want you all to be a part of it.”

England cricket ace Katherine Brunt, who will play for Trent Rockets, commented: “We can’t wait for The Hundred. The scale of it and the chance for us to bring in new fans - as well as put on a show for people who already love cricket - is really exciting.

“I know my nieces and nephews will be coming along to watch and support, and I’d love them to leave each game desperate to give cricket a go and that’s the most important thing.”
