England Women Undone In Mumbai

SCORECARD

England Women suffered a second defeat in two days in Mumbai as India chased down 107 to record their first win of the IT20 tri-series.

After a difficult day against Australia captain Heather Knight again opted to bat first but a batting collapse saw them lose seven wickets for 23 runs and fall from 84/3 in the 11th to their eventual total.

India, buoyed by such a good performance in the field, encountered few problems in getting to their target and won by eight wickets.

England’s thrilling start to the competition – with two comfortable victories – has now been followed by two defeats. Mark Robinson will hope they can return to form in the IT20 tri-series final against Australia on Saturday.
