Young Lions Lose First Match Of Bangladesh Tour

England Under 19s lost the first game of their tour of Bangladesh, going down by seven wickets in the series-opening T20.

The Young Lions batted first and made 120/8 with Yorkshire's George Hill top-scoring with 34.

In reply Bangladesh chased the required total comfortably, winning by seven wickets. Hill chipped with in two wickets, Luke Hollman one, and Adam Finch was impressively economical across his three overs.

Young Lions head coach Jon Lewis said: "Before we arrived we expected to face a streetwise side in conditions that would be alien to our young players. Today was a brilliant learning experience for us as a team and individuals.

"I hope that the boys take the learnings from today’s game and the conditions we played in so that they are able to shift their games forward and we can win the ODI series this week.

"Results aside this type of tour for this age group is a fantastic opportunity for developing our best young players."
