A large healthcare organisation is currently looking to appoint an experienced Director of Strategy & Planning for an initial period of 3 months.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for leading and coordinating the planning and commissioning functions on behalf of the organisation;
• Manage the annual planning cycle, working closely with other Directors, as part of this function the post holder will lead the development of the annual QIPP plan and establish and manage a PMO to drive QIPP identification and delivery;
• A key member of the system wide team who will develop and deliver the five year Sustainability and Transformation Plan;
• Responsible for managing senior relationships at Board level with other partners in the system in a complex and challenging environment;
• As part of this process, working with porviders, to improve outcomes for patients, improve care and achieve financial sustainability;

The ideal candidate with have:

• Senior management experience at Board level in the NHS;
• Experience of leading & delivery complex change programmes in a complex environment;
• Experience of leading contract management and negotiation with providers;
• Extensive knowledge of national policy, commissioning, contracting, stakeholder and market Management and joint commissioning.
