Fred.Olsen Cruise Lines has secured one of the world’s greatest pop groups for a cruise to the Canary Islands this winter. Join Balmoral as she sails from Dover on 4th January 2009 for a thirteen-night cruise and be entertained by The Drifters – the longest running band in pop history.

The major refit and lengthening of Fred. Olsen’s cruise ship, Braemar, is now complete and she is about to recommence her cruise programme from Southampton.
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has just launched its brochure of worldwide cruises for 2009-10, offering its greatest ever choice of ships, destinations and departure ports. The brochure features a total of 312 different ports and 134 countries and islands visited in the cruise programme. A total of 160 cruises is featured in the brochure.
Fred. Olsen’s Civilisations cruises have become a popular and well-established part of the cruise line’s offering in recent years.
Fred. Olsen’s new brochure of worldwide cruises for 2009-10 includes three complete World Cruises, all with very individual itineraries - the most the cruise line has ever offered. The ships offering these epic voyages are Black Watch and Balmoral, both designed for long cruising with plentiful storage space and roomy cabins.
As more and more people take to cruising, so the range of interests and pastimes they enjoy has continued to expand. Fred. Olsen has always offered a range of varied activities, both onboard and ashore, with its special interest programmes The ArtsClub. For the more sporty guest, Flagship Golf is a popular add-on to a cruise, while music, in all its forms, also has a key role to play.
For 2009-10, Fred. Olsen continues to expand its portfolio of regional departure ports from the UK, as well as regional airports for fly/cruises.
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has announced that, due to the rising cost of fuel, it has become necessary to increase the current fuel surcharge on all new bookings for cruises departing up to and including 16 April 2009 made on or after 10th June 2008. Bookings confirmed prior to that date will not be affected.
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has just announced two brand new cruises aboard latest ship Balmoral. BL025 is a 12-night cruise around Britain, departing from Dover on 7th October. This cruise visits some of the loveliest parts of England, Ireland and Scotland – as well as a final call into Amsterdam for some continental flavour!
The Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ ship Braemar arrived at the Blohm + Voss Repair GmbH shipyard in Hamburg on 13th May for work to begin on inserting a new mid section into the vessel.
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has just launched its brochure of worldwide cruises for 2009/10, and announced that the company will be operating two fly/cruise departures from Durham Tees Valley airport to the Caribbean, following successful sales of the first fly/cruise from the airport later this year.
