    Fred. Olsen launches inaugural 'Balmoral' cruise season from Edinburgh

    Fred. Olsen's flagship, 'Balmoral', will be commencing her inaugural cruise season from Edinburgh (Rosyth) on 16th May 2018, on a 10-night ‘Swedish Waterways & Cities’ sailing. 'Balmoral' will be offering a record nine sailings from Edinburgh (Rosyth) during the 2018/19 cruise season, between May and July 2018, an increase on the eight departures on board Black Watch from the Port in 2017.

    ​Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has hosted its first dedicated travel trade conference in over a decade, at The Belfry Hotel & Resort in Sutton Coldfield, near Birmingham. The highly-successful ‘Closer 2018’ Trade Conference attracted over 150 delegates, from a wide range of travel agents and tour operators across the UK, as well as a number of non-UK resellers.

    ​Fred. Olsen will be commencing its 2018/19 cruise seasons from the ports of Newcastle and Liverpool on Thursday 26th April 2018. 1,350-guest flagship 'Balmoral' will be setting sail from Newcastle on a seven-night ‘German Cities & the Kiel Canal’ cruise, and 804-guest 'Black Watch' will be departing from Liverpool on an eight-night ‘Fjords, Mountains & Glaciers’ itinerary around Norway.

    Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ guests raise nearly £25,000 to support Caribbean hurricane relief effort

    Generous Fred. Olsen guests have raised nearly £25,000 to help the Caribbean relief effort, following Hurricanes Irma and Maria in September 2017. Across the fleet, guests have raised £12,100 since November 2017, which has been donated to the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s ‘Hurricane Relief Fund’, together with a separate sum of over £11,000 to support Tortola, in the British Virgin Islands.

Olsen is offering guests attractive savings on over 40 ocean and river sailings from June to September 2018, in its new ‘Summer Sale 2018’, on all new bookings made from 11th April to 2nd July 2018 inclusive. Guests can save up £400 per person on ocean cruises, and up to £300 per person on 'Brabant' river cruises. Special solo cruising offers are also available on selected sailings.

    Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ new 156-guest river ship, Brabant, has today [Thursday 5th April 2018] commenced its inaugural cruise season from Amsterdam, on a five-night ‘Springtime Dutch Discovery’ itinerary, calling at Amsterdam, Hoorn, Kampen, Deventer, Arnhem and Nijmegen in the Netherlands, and ending in Dűsseldorf, Germany.

    ​Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ 880-guest 'Boudicca' is due to undergo an extensive refit from 17th March 2018, at the Blohm+Voss shipyard in Hamburg, Germany. The ship will then return to the UK for a five-night D1804 ‘Mystery Cruise’, departing from Dover on 29th March 2018.

    Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is excited to announce that, in 2019/20, its fleet of four smaller, more intimately-sized ocean ships – 'Balmoral', 'Braemar', 'Boudicca' and 'Black Watch' – will be visiting no fewer than 219 destinations in 75 countries around the globe, covering 79 areas of scenic cruising. Fred. Olsen’s new 2019/20 itineraries will go on general sale from Monday 12th March 2018.
