Press release -
Fast track your return to the commute & travel this summer with a Readly digital subscription
Three months FREE magazine and newspaper reading for Thameslink, Southern & Great Northern passengers.
Readly, the European leader in digital magazine and newspaper subscriptions, has teamed up with the UK’s largest rail operator to celebrate travel returning by offering commuters, day-trippers and holidaymakers free unlimited digital magazine and newspaper reading.
With the commute back on, day trips in the diary once again and summer holidays fast approaching, passengers travelling on Thameslink, Southern and Great Northern trains can sit back and enjoy the ride as Readly is offering Govia Thameslink Railway customers a free three-month subscription to its portfolio of titles.
Whether it’s reading about holidays, travel, business, food, news, sport, finance or fashion, Readly, the digital magazine and newspaper app with over 5,000 titles, has all your favourite titles and many more to try out too via your iPad or mobile.
A recent YouGov survey showed that one in three (33%) people are looking forward to more travel such as holidays, day trips and weekend breaks as restrictions ease*.
Readly has a magazine and newspaper for every train journey guaranteed to entertain, inspire and educate you as you travel into the office, to the beach or out on a day trip or holiday. And what’s better, as the subscription allows five users per household, your family can read their favourite titles too - perfect for a little peace and quiet!
“As people begin to return to the railway following a difficult year, we’re delighted to be partnering with Readly to offer our customers the chance to enjoy unlimited magazines and newspapers on their next train journey. Whether they’re heading into the office, or enjoying a day trip to the beach, travelling by train is a great way to relax and enjoy some “me-time”, and what better way to do that, than by getting stuck into a good read.” says Emma Wiles, Head of Marketing at GTR
“The regular commute and train travel have always been popular times to read magazines and newspapers, so it’s great to see it return as restrictions ease and people are able to travel again. We are therefore delighted to be partnering with Thameslink, Southern and Great Northern to entertain, inspire and inform people on the move as they journey across the UK to their destinations this summer and give them the opportunity to read the broad portfolio of titles on Readly's service. Together we’re bringing back train travel reading as the perfect form of entertainment!” says Rob Hanlon, Global Partnerships Director at Readly
