Southern station staff show appreciation for NHS
Barnham railway station is awash with rainbows as a thank you to NHS staff, carers and key workers.
Southern colleagues wanted to show their appreciation for fellow key workers by taking advantage of empty timetable poster frames and filling them with messages.
Platform Assistant Karl Wingate, 22, produced the rainbow poster designs and they were put up around the station with help from colleagues Gill English, who works in the ticket office, and Jethro Kandasamy, who works on the ticket gate.
The 12 posters are displayed on platforms and at the entrance.
Karl, who lives in Bognor Regis and has worked on the railway for three years, said: “We were keen to show our support to fellow key workers and everyone at the NHS – they are doing an amazing job on the frontline.”
Area Station Manager Robert Walker said: "I am very proud of the Barnham team. Karl is a perfect example of great spirit and attitude.”
