LONDON, ENGLAND - 10/09/2026
Thameslink passenger Liz Mattos, is among the first to try the train company's new - more cushioned - seats at an event in London Bridge station on Thursday, September 10.
Millions of passengers are set to benefit as 60,000 new spring and memory foam cushions are rolled out across Thameslink's 115-train fleet. The seats are available to try 7am-7pm on Thursday and Friday.
Ms Mattos, who runs the 1,200-strong Preston Park Train Campaign group, praised the comfort of the new seat.
She said: "I think it's really comfortable. I could almost have one in my house - with different fabric obviously!"
