  • Kåre Kivijärvi – Artist with a Camera

    Henie Onstad Kunstsenter (HOK) is devoting the upcoming exhibition of works from its collection to the photographic artist Kåre Kivijärvi. Kivijärvi is primarily known as a master of black and white photography, and was the first Norwegian photographer to win nationwide acclaim as a visual artist.

  • Unique accommodation at the Henie Onstad Kunstsenter

    From May 12th until September 10th, the Henie Onstad Kunstsenter (HOK) will be transformed into the Henie Onstad Sanatorium by internationally renowned artist Carsten Höller. -The installation "Two Roaming Beds" plays a central role in the exhibition, and we invite our guests to spend the night here, explains HOK director Tone Hansen.

    Henie Onstad Kunstsenter (HOK) presents Sasquatch Century, a mid-career survey of Norwegian artist Torbjørn Rødland. Since the mid-1990s, Rødland has interpreted visual culture in an entirely distinctive way. This exhibition takes viewers into Rødland’s enticing and ambiguous visual language through a broad selection of his photographic works from the past twenty years.

  • Christopher Nielsen: I’m Just a Simple Conceptualist from Ulsrud

    On 23 October Christopher Nielsen: I’m Just a Simple Conceptualist from Ulsrud, the first major retrospective dedicated to Christopher Nielsen’s satirical and boundary-transcending universe, will open at Henie Onstad Kunstsenter and continue through 8 February 2015.
