Celebrate togetherness this winter with IKEA’s latest collections
This season is about embracing your own festive traditions by celebrating and bringing family and friends together. IKEA’s new VÄRMER and HANTVERK collections put people at the heart of this joyful season, with the former focusing on creating the perfect cosy environment and the latter supporting social entrepreneurs with life-changing opportunities, both enabling people to focus on celebrating togetherness.
Clotilde Passalacqua, Interior Design Leader from IKEA UK and Ireland says:
“This October we have two new wonderful collections launching. As part of IKEA’s numerous commitments to social enterprise, the HANTVERK range has been created in collaboration with skilled artisans in Thailand, India, Jordan and Romania, as part of a project that helps to create jobs and empower women within deprived communities. Inspired by Scandinavian design, the collection of handmade baskets, ceramics and textiles are made with sustainable materials, including bark from mulberry trees and banana fibre”.
“Add instant cosiness to your space whilst helping support social change with IKEA’s HANTVERK cushions, bringing more than comfort and joy into the home. With the beautiful hand-stitching, blend of colours and uniqueness telling each designer’s own story – they’ll be sure to add lots of personality to your living space”.
“When it comes to celebrating, everyone has their own unique way of doing things. Whether you put up a tree or simply light a candle, it doesn’t have to be stressful creating a home that feels warm and welcoming this winter season. IKEA’s VÄRMER collection recognises the importance of togetherness with beautiful, timeless, and functional pieces of furniture and decorative items”.
“Making memories is one of the most special parts of family time, and the generously sized VÄRMER easy chair allows enough room for you and your little one to cosy up for a relaxing story time. To add another level of cosiness, cuddle up under IKEA’s HANTVERK handmade throw”.
“When it comes to wrapping gifts for loved ones, take the stress away by popping them into one of the sleek monochrome HANTVERK gift bags. With a stylish and decorative design, friends and family can re-use after the festive season. For a personal touch, fill the giftbags with your own handmade gifts”.
“Furthermore, nothing brings loved ones together with hours of entertainment more than traditional games. Leave your electronic devices behind and socialise around classic pastimes, with IKEA’s timeless VÄRMER board game or decoration spinning tops, which will add both a colourful twist and element of fun to your dining table”.
“Finally, lighting is key to creating a wonderful warm and easy ambiance to help everyone unwind and relax. Candles are a lovely way to create a calming mood, with the VÄRMER candlestick doubling up as playful puzzle that engages all ages. On the other hand, IKEA’s dimmable light’s rustic rope handle enables you to carry it wherever family time may lead you in the home”.
