Equivet trots into new HQ and adds two to team
Equivet Animal Care Products Ltd has announced details of a strategic move into new headquarters at The Mendip Business Park at Rooksbridge in Somerset, as well as the appointment of two new members of the team – Anne Garder-Thorpe and Nicola Weeden.
A growing equine product portfolio, an increase in orders and team expansion created the need for a larger, more centralised base and the new 4000 sq ft facility will act an administration office and warehouse all in one. The new site will allow for tighter controls over stock requests and deliveries and speed up delivery times to be guaranteed within 48 hours. The company has also invested in a new stock control operating system to improve efficiency and accuracy of orders.
Equivet supplies equine health products, feed supplements and topical applications to retailers, tack shops and other pet and equestrian outlets.
Celia Gadd has stepped up from Brand Manager to Commercial Director and her role now includes new product development, marketing and PR, recruitment, as well as processing orders, planning events, organising exhibition attendance and the running of the overall business.
Anne Gardner-Thorpe joins as Finance Manager, reporting into Celia on the financial/accounting side of the business. Anne previously worked for Deloitte in the tax department and in share schemes and also as an inspector for the Inland Revenue.
Nicola Weeden, Stock Controller is responsible for the smooth running of operations in the warehouse, including stock control and monitoring and dispatching orders. She also manages the company’s Ebay account.
Both are horse lovers and owners and regularly ride in riding club competitions.
Celia says” Now is an exciting time for Equivet as the company is going from strength to strength. The new team members will be a valuable asset to the team and allow us to become a stronger force on the equine scene. Both bring a wealth of experience, enthusiasm for our products and a common passion for horses to the company. The new facility will allow us to improve efficiency, productivity and the overall capabilities of the company allowing for further growth and expansion in 2011.
“We are ending the year on a high, having successfully launched our Speed and Harmony ranges and demand for the products is increasing daily. We also have some exciting product launches in the pipeline for next year, meaning we will strengthen our offering, to meet the market demand for quality, natural equine products.”
