LLA welcomes second Blue Air route in as many months

Blue Air today celebrated the launch of flights between London Luton Airport (LLA) and Larnaca. Four flights per week will connect LLA to this popular holiday destination, the oldest city in Cyprus.

Travel agents from Travelmania, Born Free Holidays and Anemone Travel joined the celebrations to experience the full-service product offered on-board. Blue Air already serves Turin, Iași, Bucharest and Bacau from LLA.

The Larnaca route further bolsters LLA’s growing route network. Six new routes were launched in March alone, including Blue Air’s Turin service.

Simon Harley, Head of Business Development at LLA commented: “We are delighted to launch new flights with Blue Air to Larnaca. The new service is a great addition to LLA and to Blue Air’s growing network. This route is announced at an exciting time for LLA as we embark on our £110m transformation programme, an important part of which is giving our passengers an even greater choice of destinations.”

Tudor Constantinescu, Chief Commercial Officer at Blue Air pointed out: “We are fully committed to expanding our presence at London Luton Airport. With the addition of four weekly flights from our Larnaca base and the UK and Cyprus having strong ties in business, tourism and culture, I am confident that this new connection will be extremely popular with both business and leisure travellers. We are thrilled that this will be our fifth direct service to Luton!”
