New tech developments launched to support community sport sector through covid-19
A series of new tech and digital developments have been launched in the past week to help support the community physical activity and sport sector to adapt to the impacts of the covid-19 outbreak.
With current conditions across the world creating new challenges for instructors, coaches and sport clubs to continue the important work of helping people to live healthy, active lives, London Sport and a range of industry partners have worked to provide new digital support packages for the sector.
Digital delivery during covid-19
As increasing amountsof physical activity delivery move online or into alternative formats to support people's physical activity needs during lockdown, London Sport and the Mayor of London's Community Sport Team are hosting a dedicated webinar to provide advice and guidance.
Representatives from London Sport and the Mayor's Office will be joined by Activity Alliance Marketing & Communications Manager, Sarah Brown-Fraser, to provide guidance on the best ways to delivery activity at home during lockdown, and what to consider from an inclusion and accessibility perspective.

Guide to Live Streaming Classes
The OpenActive community has collaborated on a new guide to quickly and easily putting on high-quality live-stream classes. The aim of this guide is to help activity providers of all shapes and sizes take their expertise online.
Whether that's yoga, bootcamp, pilates, dance fitness or whatever else. The guide provides clear advice on the things to think through before taking the plunge into live-streamed activities.
Promoting Online Sessions
For deliverers who have already made the move into online delivery, we have updated the Open Sessions platform to enable users to promote their online activities.
Open Sessions is a free website that any instructor or organisation can use to promote their activities via the web's biggest open data-powered activity finders.

Finding Live and On-Demand Activity Classes
To help Londoners find the best live and on-demand activity classes available during the covid-19 lockdown, we have worked with Played and imin to update the Get Active activity finder website so that Londoners can now search for the right activities for them.
We've worked to identify activities suitable for older adults and those with health conditions to make it eas easy as possible for all Londoners to find the right things at the right times for them.
