Zaffra, a leading developer of electric Sustainable Aviation Fuel (eSAF), and MB Energy, an independent energy company, have signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for assessing a cooperation to support the commercialisation and market deployment of eSAF across Europe.
Today, KLM Cityhopper, INERATEC, Hamburg Airport and MB Energy jointly operated a passenger flight between Amsterdam and Hamburg using a blend of alternative aviation fuel (formerly referred to as “SAF” or “e-SAF”. The fuel, made in Europe using European technology, was integrated into regular flight operations via existing infrastructure.
MB Energy, Daimler Truck AG and Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. (KHI) have signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) to establish a liquefied hydrogen supply chain to Europe via the Port of Hamburg. The agreement was signed during the “Hamburg Port Anniversary,” one of the world’s largest port festivals, underlining Hamburg’s aspired strategic role as a key energy hub for Europe.
Hamburg’s Authority for Environment, Climate, Energy and Agriculture (BUKEA) granted MB Energy a permit to build and operate a new ammonia import terminal. Subject to the final investment decision, the terminal is planned to be built on the site of the Blumensand tank terminal in the Port of Hamburg.
Energy company MB Energy and hydrogen producer Gen2 Energy, announce Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Hydrogen Technology World Expo in Hamburg. The purpose is to develop a mutually beneficial collaboration focusing primarily on production, offtake and distribution of RFNBO compliant liquid hydrogen from Gen2 Energy´s project portfolio in Norway to MB Energy’s end customers in Germany.
