Press release -

A new exhibition for the festive season!

Larne Museum is pleased to welcome a unique temporary exhibition by Fiona Storer.

The knitted display depicts 30 different stories from the Bible in a fun and creative way. The creator of the display is registered blind and, despite many challenges, found working on the project exciting and an opportunity to bring people together both in the creation of the display and also by taking it out to other places and inspiring others to challenge themselves and at the same time raise much needed funds for local Cancer Charities.

Fiona will be in Larne Museum & Arts Centre on Thursday 2 December from 7.00pm – 8.00pm to give a talk.  You will find out why Fiona had the idea to knit stories from the bible, create a Knit2gether group and begin what would become quite an adventure.

This is a free event however places are limited and must be booked in advance by contacting Larne Museum & Arts Centre. Light refreshments will be provided.

The exhibition will be on display in Larne Museum & Arts Centre from Wednesday 1 December until Wednesday 5 January 2022, 10.00am - 3.00pm, Monday-Friday (lunchtime closing 12.15pm - 12.45pm).
