Borough’s markets gear up to celebrate ‘Love Your Local Market’ fortnight
Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is urging you to come enjoy, explore and love your local market this May as part of UK wide campaign to support our local traders.
‘Love Your Local Market’ runs from 17-24 May so why not visit any of the three weekly markets within Mid and East Antrim at Larne, Carrickfergus or Ballymena.
The nationwide campaign is now embraced by 24 different countries, has given over 11,000 people the chance to sample market trading and at least 1,000 new businesses have been created.
This year Mid and East Antrim Borough Council are supporting a range of local individuals sample market life, including; local food producers, crafters and jewellery-makers.
Larne: Larne Market Yard, every Wednesday from 8am to 1pm
Carrickfergus: Joymount car park, every Thursday from 8am to 2pm
Ballymena: Seven Towers Leisure Centre car park, every Saturday from 7am to 2pm
