Council launches micro-enterprise competition

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is inviting local micro-enterprises to show off their innovative side and potentially win £1,500 and valuable Mentoring and PR support.

The winner of the ‘Start-Up and Innovate Award’ will be announced during MEA Enterprise Week which runs from November 16 to 22, and organisers are keen to hear from businesses that have been trading for less than two years and have no more than 10 employees

Entrants must be able to demonstrate innovation resulting in benefits such as reduced environmental impact, lower costs or increased profitability and in doing so could be in with a chance of winning an exclusive prize package designed to raise your profile and productivity.

In addition to this, two runners-up will each receive £250 and additional bespoke mentoring support.

To be in with a chance of winning, applicants are asked to submit an application by 2 November, with six shortlisted businesses pitching to a panel.
