Council launches new suite of ‘Amplify’ Business Growth Programmes at Digital Café event

Businesses across the Mid and East Antrim Borough Council area now have access to an unprecedented range of support programmes to assist them to grow.

The exciting new suite of programmes offered under MEA’s Amplify strategy has been officially launched by Mayor Councillor Maureen Morrow and Chair of Council’s Borough Growth Committee, Councillor Gregg McKeen.

The launch took place at the recent Amplify Digital Café – Selling Online workshop, which was held at the Red Brick Café in Broughshane as part of Global Enterprise Week.

At the workshop businesses came together to hear how to boost their sales online and grow their customer base through the use of digital technology.

Speaking at the launch Mayor Councillor Maureen Morrow said: “Digital technologies and online media are essential to the growth and development of businesses in 2019 and beyond. One of Council’s key strategic areas under the Amplify initiative is the nurturing and support of the digital sector as a major focus for economic growth.

“The range of business support programmes that Council has designed is impressive and I would encourage businesses who are seeking to grow to contact the Amplify team and learn how they can access that support. I am delighted to meet with the local entrepreneurs who are committed to growing our borough’s economy and I wish them every success as they continue that work.”

The newly launched Amplify ‘Digital Boost’ Programme is dedicated to providing digital business growth support and offers mentoring in online selling, social media for business, the use of video to showcase products and services, basic web design and so much more.

Support is also available through a new Sales Growth Programme, which provides one-to-one sales mentoring, innovative workshops and collaborative networking opportunities to help identify new markets and increase sales.

Businesses can also still avail of Amplify’s Business Escalator Programme, which offers bespoke support to help them reach their full potential, across a number of key areas including Strategic Business Growth Planning, HR and Leadership Development, Sales and Marketing, Financial Management and Accessing Funding, and Export Development.
