It's got to be perfect at Friends' Goodwill Music Festival

Friends’ Goodwill Music Festival returns to Larne for a fourth consecutive year and boasts two major headline acts. On Saturday 9 May Scottish songstress Eddi Reader, famed for her hit singles ‘Perfect’ and ‘Find My Love’ with her former band Fairground Attraction will take to the stage with Dublin rock band Hothouse Flowers topping the bill and performing their much loved hits including ‘Don’t Go’ and ‘I Can See’.

The two day festival takes place at the historic Market Yard and features a change in format from previous years. Saturday’s outdoor concert is ticket only and is partially seated while Sunday’s programme has no admission charge and will feature a cookery theatre, street artists and activities and experiences for all ages.

A spokesperson from organiser Mid and East Antrim Borough Council said,

“Every year the festival goes from strength to strength and we believe our two headline artists will not only appeal to our local community, but also attract festival-goers from all over Ireland and Scotland. Eddi Reader has a strong Ulster-Scots connection with her Robert Burns repertoire and will have an affinity with many local people. Hot House Flowers have been a house-hold name since the 80s and this will be the first time for both artists to perform in Larne.”;

“We always like to nurture local talent and are looking forward to welcoming county Armagh’s Sionán, who won Belfast’s singer/songwriter competition in 2018, to support Eddi and Hothouse Flowers.”

“There is a real community spirit over the festival weekend as entertainment offerings appeal to all ages, with street theatre, an eclectic mix of live music, cookery theatre, food wagons and the addition of a drinks bar and terrace. I am confident that tickets will be snapped up, so make sure to book soon to avoid disappointment.”

Early bird prices for the Saturday concert are £8 plus ticket agent's fee until 31 December.
