Local Paralympian Claire Taggart hits the double GOLD!!
The Mayor of Mid and East Antrim has congratulated Larne’s Paralympian Claire Taggart and her team mates David Smith, Caroline Robinson and Will Hipwell on securing Gold in the BC1/2 Team Games at the Nymburk European Regional Open!
She said: “This has been an unbelievable year for Claire. Following Claire’s outstanding performance in the Individuals where she won her first Gold, Claire went on to secure a second win in the team games.
“This now brings Claire’s UK and International Medal total to eight which is just phenomenal.
“Claire is the perfect role model for our younger generation and I would encourage anyone with an interest in sport to get involved. Who knows, you may even become a champion too.”
