Do you love getting outdoors and exploring Mid and East Antrim? Then we want to hear from you!

Council is planning to grow its provision for outdoor recreation over the next decade and would love to hear what you would like, think is great or would not want to see happen in the borough.

Outdoor recreation covers everything from clay pigeon shooting to walks, maritime sports, cycling, climbing, running or even bush craft.

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is committed to building stronger, safer and healthier communities so these plans are to help give local people more opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.

We are looking to developing activity provision and investment in key facilities and sites. Council wants to create a borough that can enjoy the fantastic landscape it possesses.

The first stage of public consultations were carried out in February 2019, and from that a draft strategy has been created which you can now feedback on.

A final 8 week consultation process is now underway. The public can attend drop in sessions:

Tuesday 25 June at Larne Town Hall - 6.30pm to 8.30pm

Wednesday 26 June at Ballymena Showgrounds - 6.30pm to 8.30pm

Thursday 27 June at Carrickfergus Town Hall - 6.30pm to 8.30pm
