Press release -

Tickets on sale for third and final night of Ballymena Farmers’ Bash!

Mid and East Antrim Councillor, Matthew Armstrong, has commended the organisers of Northern Ireland’s first ever drive-in country music concert – which is set to take place in Ballymena Showgrounds over three nights in July – for bringing the event to the borough.

Tickets for the Friday July 3 and Saturday July 4 nights of the Ballymena Farmers’ Bash sold out in minutes, but there are still a limited number available for the third and final show on Sunday, July 5.

This is the first time the country concert – which features headline acts Derek Ryan and Philomena Begley – has come to the borough.

Organised by LSFX Productions and supported by Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, the Farmers’ Bash will have strict social distancing and public health protection measures in place.

The event organisers are  also working with local churches to provide a drive-in Gospel service on the Sunday afternoon, with more details due to be announced very soon.

With FM transmission of the music directly to car radios, country fans will also be able to benefit from the on-site PA system and can listen with their left windows down or sunroof open.

On-site toilets with controlled queuing will be available but only if absolutely necessary.

There will be a selection of food available with providers serving directly to cars so as to maintain social distancing and avoid queuing.

Cllr Armstrong said: “I am delighted that Council is facilitating this amazing event, which is the first drive-in concert ever to take place in Northern Ireland.

“This is brilliant for Ballymena and I know the organisers have been working closely with Council to ensure that it will be completely safe for those attending and the staff working on both nights.

“It is great to see that our borough is leading the way as Northern Ireland looks ahead to recovery from Covid-19 and boosting our local economy.

“I know all those lucky enough to get a ticket will be raring to go and I look forward to a very successful evening! I would also remind anyone attending the event of the key message: arrive by car, stay in the car, leave by car.”
