Man arrested and knife seized following stop of car in Stockbridge Village
We have arrested a man and seized a knife following the stop of a vehicle in Stockbridge Village last night, Thursday 3 January.
At around 10.20pm, Matrix officers sighted a Skoda Octavia on Barons Hey. The vehicle was stopped and the occupants were searched due to the smell of cannabis. During the search of one occupant, a lock knife (pictured) was seized. Cannabis was also found in the vehicle.
A 21-year-old man from Stockbridge Village was arrested on suspicion of possessing a bladed article and has been taken to a police station for questioning.
A 23-year-old from Huyton was also issued with a formal warning for cannabis possession.
