Man arrested in Eccleston, St Helens, on suspicion of grooming
Merseyside Police can confirm that a man has been arrested following an incident in St Helens earlier today Sunday, 6 January 2019. At around 10.20am, a call was received requesting that officers attend a property in Eccleston, following allegations of a sexual offence. A 38-year-old man from St Helens was arrested on suspicion of attempting to meet a girl under 16 years of age following grooming. He was taken to a police where he was interviewed by detectives and has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
