Man charged with driving offences and suspected stolen bike recovered

We have charged a man with driving offences following the recovery of a motorbike in Orrell Park on Saturday, 28 September.

At around 6.45pm, a male came to the attention officers on patrol on the Loop Line in the Bull Lane area. The male attempted to make off before he was detained and a Yamaha bike suspected of having been stolen from an address in Netherton on 25 September was recovered.

18-year-old Carl Mooney from Quigley Avenue, Netherton was charged with unauthorised taking of a motor vehicle, driving without a licence and driving without insurance. He will next appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 29 October.
