Three people arrested on suspicion of drugs offences in Anfield

Three people have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences.

Matrix officers carrying out patrols in the Anfield area arrested three people last night, Sunday 13th January, after stop-checking a Vauxhall Astra on Priory Road and recovering a quantity of cannabis and a knuckle duster.

The three occupants of the car – a 54 year-old man, a 27 year-old man and a 19 year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug (cannabis) and possession of an offensive weapon.

During a subsequent search of a property on Breckside Park in Anfield a quantity of cannabis was found.

The three people were further arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs, cannabis production, possession of a controlled drug (Class A), money laundering and abstracting electricity.

The 54 year-old man has been released under investigation. The other two remain in custody.
