Two men arrested and drugs seized following incident in Southport

At around 1.20am, officers patrolling on Canning Road sighted two men in suspicious circumstances, who made off on foot into a nearby address.

Entry was forced and two men were arrested and suspected heroin was recovered.

A 57-year-old man from Southport and a 32-year-old man from Southport were arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug and were taken to police stations for questioning. They have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
