Man charged in connection with Shepherds Bush murder
A man has been charged with murder following the death of a 52-year-old woman in Shepherds Bush.
Officers were called at 08:19hrs on Tuesday, 18 August, to an address on Askew Road following reports of a stabbing.
A woman, aged 52, was sadly pronounced dead despite the best efforts of emergency services at the scene.
She can now be named as Samantha Turner. Her family have been informed and continue to be supported by specialist officers.
Samantha’s daughter, aged 32, suffered non-life threatening stab injuries. She remains in hospital and continues to be assessed.
The family of Samantha have said: “The family are devastated by the loss of our beloved mother, nanny, sister and auntie and the circumstances around her daughter who put her life on the line to try to save her beloved mother. May she rest in peace.”
A murder investigation was launched, and a man was arrested at the scene.
Alan Dore, 48 (03.04.1978), of Askew Crescent, Shepherds Bush, was charged on Wednesday, 19 August with murder and attempted murder.
He will appear at Hendon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 20 August
