Murder investigation launched after man dies in Southall

A murder investigation has been launched after a man died in Southall.

Police were called at 00:41hrs on Wednesday, 10 June by the London Ambulance Service following reports of a stabbing on North Road.

Officers attended with paramedics and two men were found to have been injured.

Despite the efforts of medical staff, a man in his 20s – who had suffered a knife wound - was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Enquiries to trace his next-of-kin are ongoing.

Detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command have launched a murder investigation.

Seven men, aged from their early 20s to late 30s, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. Six remain in police custody.

The seventh man, in his 30s, was taken to hospital, where he remains. His condition is not believed to be life threatening.

Detective Chief Inspector Matthew Denby, who is leading the investigation, said:

“My thoughts remain with the loved ones of the man who has died.

“We believe that the two men suffered wounds during an altercation outside a property on North Road. I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or who has CCTV footage of what occurred.

“There is a large police cordon in place on North Road and surrounding streets. This is likely to remain while our enquiries continue, and I want to thank residents for their patience.”

Anyone with information or footage is asked to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 215/10JUN26, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
