Join Online Public meeting Wednesday 16th June 2021 to hear more

Lead Investigator Dr Julie Gonneaud of Cyceron at INSERM, France reveals her on-going studies into the impact on brain health of older participants of the restrictions imposed to reduce the spread of Covid-19.

Dr Gonneaud says: “Questionnaires were sent to the participants of the Age Well study during the different lockdown periods to assess emotional resilience during these exceptional times. Our objective was to evaluate how older populations respond to their changed circumstances, with a particular interest in depression, anxiety and stress factors.”

The study is assessing the factors that predisposed participants to increased or decreased capacity to manage their changed circumstances and whether emotional resilience changed from the first lockdown to the second.

David Bartres Faz, Professor of Medical Psychology at the University of Barcelona joins the session to discuss the Barcelona Brain Health Initiative study that is investigating mental health effects and moderators during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The online event will be hosted in English and is free to attend. Register here:
