Heritage centre on the move
Moray Council’s local heritage centre is on the verge of relocating to its new home at Elgin library.
Heritage services at the East End Primary School annexe – where the centre has been located for the past 12 years – will cease on Saturday, November 28 and recommence at Elgin library on Monday, December 7.
They will be located on the first floor to which there is lift access.
The move was approved by the council’s children and young people’s services committee in August.
The relocation means service users will have greater access to computers, parking, café facilities and the full range of services available at the central library.
The heritage centre opening hours will also be extended to coincide with library opening hours.
