After ten years at Mynewsdesk, Jonathan Bean leaves his role as CMO after accepting the appointment to become CMO at CLX Communications AB, listed on Nasdaq Stockholm.
- Jonathan has been a key player at Mynewsdesk over the last decade. I want to thank him for his dedicated work and wish him all the best for the future and his new role. I’m proud Mynewsdesk can provide marketing talent to one of Sweden's leading technology companies, says Louise Barnekow, CEO at Mynewsdesk.
Jonathan joined Mynewsdesk in 2009 as Chief Operating Officer heading up all commercial functions.
During this time Mynewsdesk grew the business from 20 to 120 employees while establishing a market leader position in the Nordics, as well as expanding to Germany, Japan, UK and the US. In August last year, Mynewsdesk acquired Mention, a global social media listening company.
In 2014 he got appointed as Chief Marketing Officer. Jonathan and the marketing organisation have contributed to Mynewsdesk doubling its revenue and at the same time been awarded for excellence and innovation in marketing, including Cannes Lion (Cannes), Webby (New York), Guldägget (Stockholm) and The Drum (London).
- Leaving Mynewsdesk has been a tough decision, especially considering the exciting times ahead. But after careful consideration this was an offer I couldn't refuse, said Jonathan Bean.
- I joined Mynewsdesk as a startup, looking to challenge the PR industry, and are now leaving a market leading company with a wonderful team of talented individuals and fantastic and innovative products. I’m proud of the journey we made and everyone I have worked with along the way, said Jonathan.
Jonathan will leave Mynewsdesk by Easter and the recruitment process for his replacement is already in place.
