  • Norwegian is the Official Airline of the Eurovision Song Contest 2010

    Norwegian has entered into a partnership agreement with the European Broadcasting Union – EBU – to become the Official Airline of the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. Norwegian will offer competitive low cost fares to Oslo from 27 European countries for the Eurovision Song Contest community during the three shows.

    Norwegian experienced strong passenger growth last year and flew 18 per cent more passengers than the previous year. In total, 63 new routes were established; 30 in Denmark, 18 in Sweden and 15 new routes in Norway.

    The total number of passengers flown in December 2009 was 815,562 compared to 651,895 last year, an increase of 163,667 passengers (25 %). Compared to the same period last year: - Total passenger traffic (RPK) increased by 24 % - Total capacity (ASK) increased by 21 % - The load factor was 76 %, up 2 p.p.

  • Norwegian to boost its presence in western Norway – six new direct routes from Bergen

    Norwegian is targeting tourism in western Norway and the business market from Bergen by adding an additional aircraft and six new routes from March. The new destinations are Copenhagen, Stockholm, Barcelona, Roma, Chania-Crete and Antalya in Turkey. There will also be more departures to London, as well as to Dubrovnik and Split in Croatia.

    Norwegian is today launching an entirely new frequent flyer program which will benefit both leisure and business travellers in all three Scandinavian countries. The frequent flyer program offers all travellers the possibility to earn CashPoints, up to 10 percent on Full flex tickets.
