Norwegian opens new bases of operations at London Gatwick and Alicante
Norwegian Air Shuttle will establish a new base of operations at London’s Gatwick Airport in spring 2013. It will also establish a new base of operations at Alicante, Spain. Norwegian will offer flights to several Mediterranean destinations and the Nordic region from London.

Norwegian reports its best ever quarterly results
Norwegian (NAS) today reported a pre-tax profit of almost 900 million NOK. This is the company’s best ever result, an improvement of 187 million NOK from previous year. New aircraft have saved the airline 28 million NOK in fuel costs compared to the third quarter in 2011.

Norwegian’s (NAS) passenger growth continued in September, up 11 percent compared with the same month previous year. Even with a capacity growth of 21 percent the load factor is a solid 80 percent.

Norwegian wins international award for best in-flight WiFi
Norwegian has won the prestigious Passenger Choice Awards 2012 for the category “Best Inflight Connectivity and Communications”. The airline competed against major international airlines like Virgin America, Emirates, Oman Air and Gulf Air. The award was presented in Long Beach, California, USA on Monday 17. September.

Norwegian Reports Strong Passenger Figures in August
Norwegian’s (NAS) passenger growth continued in August. More than 1.7 million passengers flew with Norwegian, up 13 percent compared with the same month last year. The load factor was also high, while Norwegian’s on-time performance was significantly affected by the lack of air traffic controllers at Avinor (Norway’s civil aviation authority).

Norwegian’s (NAS) passenger growth continued in July, resulting in one of the best months in the company’s history. More than 1.8 million passengers flew with Norwegian in July, up 14 percent from the same month last year and the highest ever passenger figure.

Norwegian (NAS) today reported a pre tax profit of 125 million NOK, an improvement of 50 million from last year. This year’s result has been considerably influenced by the strike among the security staff at airports throughout Norway. The strike cost Norwegian 70 million NOK.
