Authenticity of football merchandise still guaranteed by Sports Idols

(Mynewsdesk) 10th July 2010 - This latest batch of autographed Premiership shirts is a reminder that the memorabilia dealer is still (like Chelsea, who beat off a tense Manchester United challenge to retain the Premiership title) at the head of its game. The Liverpool signed shirts; Arsenal signed shirts; Chelsea signed shirts; and Manchester United signed shirts, which aren’t easy to get hold of at the close of a footballing season, are testament to the firm’s connections and character.

Sports Idols has come up trumps again by snagging a close season bonanza of signed Premiership shirts. The late trophies, which are mostly Liverpool signed shirts; Manchester United signed shirts; Arsenal signed shirts;

Now, you might think that fans of the less successful and Chelsea signed shirts, are already being snapped up by memento hungry collectors. Members of the traditional Big Four (Liverpool finished a hardly stellar season with a grand total of nothing to show for their mediocre performances, and Arsenal only just held on to a narrow points lead over North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur) would be less than enthralled by the prospect of owning 2009-2010 signed shirts. If, that is, you weren’t a football fan. Much has been written on the subject of fandom, a lot of which skirts around a simple point: unlike players, who transfer their allegiances at will, football fans marry a club with a fervour that often surpasses everything else in their lives. To a fan of the club, Liverpool signed shirts represent the pinnacle of desirability. A Man U fan will prize Manchester United signed shirts above all else, no matter how their season panned out; Arsenal signed shirts are the ultimate statement of allegiance for a Gunner; and, of course, Chelsea signed shirts from the just-finished season carry the added savour of memorialising yet another victorious campaign.

End of season merchandise is traditionally tricky to get hold of, for a combination of the above reasons. Arsenal signed shirts, Chelsea signed shirts, Liverpool signed shirts and Manchester United signed shirts from the 2009-2010 season are no more: whatever is left is what’s available. As such, demand exceeds supply by orders of magnitude – which is why Autograph’s Stores fresh stock of the things marks such a coup for the company. They’re offering them with free UK delivery, too, which takes the sting out of an already costly item – signed Premiership shirts don’t come particularly cheap,

Signed Arsenal shirts, signed Liverpool shirts, signed Manchester United shirts and signed Chelsea shirts aren’t just mementoes of the most popular teams in the country: they’re also walking autograph books filled with the signatures of some of the most famous players in the world. Most of who will be filing out, under the flags of their countries, when the South Africa World Cup kicks off at the beginning of June. No wonder Sports Idols is so pleased with its late season purchases.
