Oslo Lufthavn AS appoints new media manager and press spokesman

Joachim Westher Andersen, 34, has been appointed the new media manager and press spokesman at Oslo Lufthavn AS (OSL). He succeeds John Vegar Gystad, who has returned to his position as head of communications for the Norwegian Army. Andersen began his position on 1 August.

Andersen was appointed to the post of media adviser at Oslo Airport in August 2012, and is now moving over to the role of media manager and press spokesman.

He previously worked as the information manager for Lyn football club (2004 - 2010) and two years (2010-2012) as a consultant at Nucleus, a communications agency. Andersen graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University.

“We are very pleased that Joachim has accepted the position as media manager and press spokesman. His dedication and expertise are an important contribution amid an exciting period at the airport,” says Tonje Hesthagen, head of communications and public relations.

Andersen looks forward to the challenge and wants to continue OSL’s philosophy of openness and good service at all levels.
