EuroPride 2014: Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg opens Pride Park

Wednesday June 25th 2014 Pride Park opens at Oslos City Hall Square. Pride Park, which is the main people hub during EuroPride 2014, is open from Wednesday June 25th  to Saturday June 28th.

For the official opening on Wednesday, Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg comes and gives the opening speech at 20:00. On the main stage at Pride Park there will also be fantastic opening show with names like Linnea Dale, Bow to Each Other, Opera to the people and Hector Lopez on the poster.

Pride Park, which is free and open to all, is open to the public already at 15:00 on Wednesday, while opening the show will be held from 20:00.

Linnea Dale was part of Norwegian Idol in 2007, where she made the final rounds. Dale has been a guest vocalist on the Norwegian pop sensation Donkeyboy singles Ambitions and Sometimes. Dale released his second album Good Goodbyes April this year.

Bow To Each Other is a new Norwegian-Canadian indie pop duo. Their debut album “The Urge Drums” is produced by none other than Susanne Sundfør and the first taste from the album, the single Darkness, was immediately playlisted on Norwegian state-owned radio station NRK P3. The album has now gotten fantastic reviews in Norway, so be sure to check it out.


Opera to the people delivers some opera number, with high glam factor, and Hector Lopez performs with this year's official EuroPride anthem "Love," which has become a hit in Sweden and is now regularly played on Swedish radio.

Mini concert with Åse Ava

Before the official opening at 20:00, the Norwegian artist and songwriter Åse Ava on "small stage" in the middle of Pride Park from 17:30 to about 18:30. AVA, aka Åse Ava Fredheim, is a songwriter, singer, pianist and entertainer.

Concerts, shows and international DJs the rest of the EuroPride week

In Pride Park people the rest of the week, enjoy concerts and shows with Voi Voi (Thursday 27 June), Cocktail Slippers (Friday 27 June) and Prince Poppycock, known from "America's Got Talent", where one of the judges, Sharon Osbourne, spoke of him as "the male Lady Gaga" (Saturday 28 June).

In addition, Oslo Pride has booked great DJs in the House bar in Pride Park from 22.00 every day: Haus Of ill Repute (Australia) on Wednesday, DJ Rasmus (Norway) on Thursday, Swedish Dyke Vibes (Sweden) on Friday and The G-Team (Netherlands) on Saturday.

Oslo Pride is the largest Pride festival in Norway, and in 2014 we are the hosts of EuroPride.  

EuroPride in Oslo will be held from Friday 20th June to Sunday 29th June 2014. During our ten-day festival, we shall through art, culture, politics and parties set human rights and lhbtiq issues on the agenda.

Oslo Pride 2015

Oslo Pride is the largest Pride festival in Norway. ​Oslo Pride is a ten day long festival.
The programme in 2015 consists of over 130 free events - debates, workshops and parties.

The three main pillars of the festival is:
1. Pride House (free entrance: the political arena at the House of Litterature June 19.-21)
2. Pride Park (free shows, conserts and more at Spikersuppa - in the middle of Oslo - June 24.-27)
3. Oslo Pride Parade (June 27th).

2.000 persons visited Pride House in 2014, 50.000 visited Pride Park and 20.000 marched in the parade.

Oslo Pride were the hosts of EuroPride 2014.
