Heavy-Duty Plastic Plug Connectors

Press release -

Heavy-Duty Plastic Plug Connectors

Phoenix Contact introduces cost-effective plastic versions to complement its broad family of heavy-duty die-cast aluminium plug connectors.

All sleeve housings conform to protection category IP 68. The sealed, sturdy housings attach directly to the side of the device and can be assembled without a panel mounting base. For assembly, they instead offer mounting flanges that also accommodate the device’s contact support. The product is fully compatible with the existing Heavycon Advance connector systems and with industrial standards. When connecting, contact is first made with the standard-compliant protective conductor, guaranteeing safe plugging and operation.

The plug is made from impact-resistant plastic and features an integrated cable gland, resulting in a price less than half that of standard aluminium die-cast housings.
