Housing System with Front Connection Technology for Complex Control Units

Phoenix Contact’s new ME-PLC housing system offers plenty of space for electronic components, a pluggable front connector, and a mounting rail bus connector on the rear.

The pluggable front connector features an easy-to-use lever mechanism and offers space for up to 36 push-in connections. This facilitates very fast device start-up and replacement. A universal cover for fixed wiring can easily be snapped on, as can display and operating elements. The rear bus connector is designed for customer-specific bus circuit boards with up to 50 pins, enabling inter-device communication. The built-in mechanical coding system prevents installation of the wrong device units.

All housing parts can feature customer-specific print labelling such as barcodes. Thanks to its generous housing dimensions and individual connection options for signals, data, and power, the new housing system from Phoenix Contact is especially suitable for complex control units.
