Innovative plug-in test systems for the energy transition

With Fame LPIT, Phoenix Contact is presenting a new generation of plug-in test systems for low-power sensors in medium and high-voltage switchgear. The solution enables the fast, safe, and convenient testing of modern protective systems.

With the compact design, all test-relevant signals can be made accessible directly on the control cabinet door, on the front panel, or in 19" push-in racks without the wiring of the system needing to be changed. The robust metal housing with separate ground contact provides reliable protection against electromagnetic interference. Fame LPIT stands for “Low Power Instrument Transformer” and includes both plug-in test sockets and test plugs. The plug-in test sockets provide access to all eight signal contacts of the RJ45 interface and are designed for both medium-voltage and high-voltage sensors. A special feature is the surge voltage resistance of up to 5 kV, which enables use in high-voltage applications and guarantees a particularly high level of safety. Two separate RJ45 plug-in connections are available for medium-voltage systems, allowing the connection of combined or separate U/I medium-voltage sensors.

Users benefit from a significant reduction in testing work, minimized downtimes, and easy integration into existing systems. Fame LPIT sets new standards in terms of safety, efficiency, and future viability and supports grid operators, industry, and infrastructure in mastering the challenges of the energy transition.
