Radioline wireless system adds Ex certification

Press release -

Radioline wireless system adds Ex certification

Phoenix Contact’s powerful Radioline system has recently been certified to meet the ATEX and IECEx standards, meaning it can be deployed internationally in any zone-2 areas subject to gas explosion risks. This wireless system is particularly well suited to wide-area systems and networks. It is frequently deployed in refineries, tank farms, power plants, sewage treatment plants, port facilities, and other areas subject to explosive atmospheres.

Addressing of the radio system does not require any software. All it takes to distribute the signal is a turn of the knurled knob on the unit. The analogue and digital I/O modules provide high-quality channel-to-channel separation and are hot-swappable for expansion and replacement.

Trusted Wireless 2.0 technology permits reliable transmission of serial data and I/O signals over distances of several kilometres. Self-healing mesh networks consisting of up to 250 stations can be easily implemented.
