Safe DC connector with ArcZero technology

DC connectors with ArcZero technology from Phoenix Contact safely and reliably protect the operator against hazardous electric arcs. This makes handling during installation and maintenance easy: During maintenance, device replacement can simply be carried out under load.

The special feature is integrated in the DC connector. An innovative piece of electronics, directly built into the connector, actively quenches the electric arc. The ability to safely connect and disconnect under load enables selected parts of the system to be shut down safely, for example, for parts replacements or maintenance, while the rest of the system remains in operation. This means high availability – with downtimes being a thing of the past.

With degrees of protection up to IP69, high impact strength of up to IK08, and long-term outdoor suitability, the connector can show its strengths in many areas of application. At the same time, it can be handled intuitively and easily. No tools are needed as you don’t need to actuate any buttons or switches.
