Sensor/Actuator Cabling for the Food Industry

Phoenix Contact has expanded its existing range of sensor/actuator cabling products. The new versions designed for applications in the food industry stand out thanks to their smooth surfaces as well as the use of 1.4404 stainless, steel in a hygienic design.

Requirements placed on plants and machines in the food industry environment go far beyond the general machinery construction standard. All surfaces must be as flat as possible and designed without gaps or intermediate spaces. Plants and systems are in some cases cleaned using aggressive procedures in order to secure the appropriate level of hygiene throughout the complete process. Further, foodstuffs or their packaging must not become polluted by coming into contact with plant or machine parts.
