Surge protection for VDSL applications in the multimedia panel

The new DT-TELE-WM-RJ45-PT-I surge protective device from Phoenix Contact is ideal for protecting telecommunication end devices.

The protective device does not influence the wanted signal, even at very high transmission speeds in super vectoring with up to 300 Mbps. Independent testing by Deutsche Telekom verifies this. The combination of Push-in Technology and RJ45 jacks enables quick and easy installation. Easy to snap onto the DIN rail in the control cabinet and can be quickly mounted on a level surface or a perfboard in the control cabinet (multimedia panel). In addition to providing protection against surge voltages, the DT-TELE-WM surge protective device also protects against incorrect installation. An integrated disconnect mechanism and electronic current limiters thus also protect the modem against overcurrents or miswiring. Surge damage caused by thunderstorms can be prevented if all devices at risk are wired with protective devices.
